Institutional Biosafety Committee
LRRI established an Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) to review, approve, and oversee research to ensure compliance with the National Institutes of Health Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules (NIH Guidelines).
The IBC ensures that all NIH-funded projects involving recombinant DNA techniques comply with the NIH Guidelines and that all non-NIH funded projects involving such techniques comply with the NIH Guidelines. LRRI is registered with the Office of Biotechnology Activities (OBA) and the OBA has determined LRRI's IBC to be compliant with Sections IV-B-2-a-(1) and IV-B-2-a-(3) of the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules (NIH Guidelines).
